Dodgers Recall Andre Jackson

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Andre Jackson and placed right-handed pitcher Michael Grove on the injured list with a left knee contusion. 

Jackson, 26, returns for his fifth stint with the team and he has made three appearances this season, going 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA (0 ER/5.2 IP) and three strikeouts. He recorded his second Major League save last Sunday, tossing 3.0 innings of scoreless baseball against the Cardinals. In his Major League career, he is 0-1 with a 1.56 ERA (3 ER/17.1 IP) and 16 strikeouts in six games. In 21 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City, he is 2-7 with a 5.00 ERA (42 ER/75.2 IP) and 76 strikeouts. He was originally drafted in the 12th round of the 2017 First Year Player Draft out of the University of Utah.

Grove, 25, made the start last night, tossing 5.0 innings, allowing four runs on six hits in the no decision against the Rockies. On the season, he is 1-0 with a 4.60 ERA (15 ER/29.1 IP) and 24 strikeouts in seven games (six starts) for the Dodgers. Prior to joining the Major League squad, he was a combined 1-5 with a 3.79 ERA (32 ER/76.0 IP) and 90 strikeouts in 19 games (17 starts) between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City. He was drafted by the Dodgers in the second round of 2018 First Year Player Draft out of West Virginia University.
