DODGERS RECALL MICHAEL GROVE

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Michael Grove and placed right-handed pitcher Shelby Miller on the injured list with neck pain.  

Grove, 26, returns for his second stint with the Dodgers. On the season, he is 0-2 with an 8.10 ERA (27 ER/30.0 IP) and 30 strikeouts. He has been with the Dodgers two seasons, and he is a combined 1-2 with a 6.37 ERA (42 ER/59.1 IP) and 54 strikeouts. He was drafted by the Dodgers in the second round of the 2018 First Year Player Draft out of West Virginia University.

Miller, 32, last pitched on Thursday night against the White Sox, tossing two scoreless innings with two strikeouts. On the campaign, he is 1-0 with a 2.40 ERA (8 ER/30.0 IP) and 31 strikeouts in 25 games. He has allowed 12 hits in 30 innings, holding hitters to a .121 batting average against. He is in his 11th season in the Major Leagues with St. Louis (2012-14), Atlanta (2015), Arizona (2016-18), Texas (2019), Chicago (2021), Pittsburgh (2021), San Francisco (2022) and Los Angeles (2023) and he is a combined 39-58 with a 4.14 ERA (372 ER/808.0 IP) and 675 strikeouts in 192 games (132 starts). He was signed by the Dodgers on December 1, 2022.
