DODGERS RECALL MITCH WHITE, ACTIVATE HANSER ALBERTO
The Los Angeles Dodgers activated infielder Hanser Alberto from the paternity list, recalled right-handed pitcher Mitch White, designated outfielder Stefen Romero for assignment and placed right-handed pitcher Daniel Hudson on the injured list with torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Alberto, 29, returns after missing the last three games on the paternity list. He has appeared in 34 games, hitting .242 with three doubles, one homer and four RBI. The former batting champion is in his seventh Major League season, and he has hit a combined .274 (338-for-1232) with 18 homers and 110 RBI. He signed a Major League deal with the Dodgers on March 23, 2022.

White, 27, returns for his second stint with the team after going 1-1 with a 3.38 ERA (11 ER/25.2 IP) and 27 strikeouts. In his last start with the Dodgers on June 7, he fired 5.0 scoreless innings, allowing two hits with five strikeouts. Since being optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City, he made two starts, tossing 11.2 scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts. He was named Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 6-12. Hudson, 34, heads to the injured list for the first time this season and the ninth time in his career. He pitched in 25 games for the Dodgers, posting a 2-3 record with a 2.22 ERA (6 ER/24.1 IP), 30 strikeouts and an opponents’ batting average of .193. In 13 Major League seasons with Chicago (2009-10), Arizona (2010-16), Pittsburgh (2017), Los Angeles (2017, 2022), Toronto (2019), Washington (2019-21) and San Diego (1-2), he was a combined 59-43 with a 3.81 ERA (334 ER/789.1 IP) and 749 strikeouts.

Romero, 33, did not see action since being recalled on Thursday morning. Prior to signing with the Dodgers on February 12 on a minor league contract, he had spent the last five seasons with the Orix Buffaloes and Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles of the Nippon Professional Baseball League. During his five seasons in the NPB, he hit a combined .264 with 96 homers and 264 RBI. In 24 games with Triple-A Oklahoma City, he is hitting .270 (24-for-89) with three homers and 21 RBI. In his Major League career, spanning three seasons with Seattle (2014-16), he hit .195 with four homers and 17 RBI.
