DODGERS SELECT ADAM KOLAREK

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers selected the contract of left-handed pitcher Adam Kolarek, optioned right-handed pitcher Andre Jackson and transferred outfielder Trayce Thompson to the 60-day injured list.  

Kolarek, 34, has appeared in 21 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City, posting an 0-3 mark with a 2.18 ERA (5 ER/20.2 IP) and 12 strikeouts. He made 15 appearances with Oakland last season, allowing nine runs in 17.2 innings. This will be his second career stint with Los Angeles (2019-20) after going a perfect 5-0 with a 0.88 ERA (3 ER/30.2 IP) and 22 strikeouts. He has pitched in the Majors parts of six seasons with Tampa Bay (2017-19), Los Angeles and Oakland (2021-22) and he is a combined 11-4 with a 3.77 ERA (60 ER/143.1 IP) and 94 strikeouts. He was signed by the Dodgers as a minor league free agent on December 13, 2022.

Jackson, 26, tossed three scoreless innings yesterday to record his second save of the season. In seven games with the Dodgers this year, he is 0-0 with a 6.62 ERA (13 ER/17.2 IP) with 16 strikeouts. In his career, he is 0-1 with a 4.15 ERA (18 ER/39.0 IP) and 35 strikeouts in 14 games for the Dodgers. He was drafted by the Dodgers in the 12th round of the 2017 First Year Player Draft out of the University of Utah.
