The Board of Douglas County Commissioners hosted a panel of experts to define human trafficking, help us understand who is vulnerable to traffickers, and share information about what is being done to prevent human trafficking and heal survivors and what we can do individually and as a community.

Love disc golf? Pristine new course awaits

If you’re a fan of disc golf, get ready to tee off at a new 18-hole course in central Douglas County.

Together, the Castle Pines City Council and Board of Douglas County Commissioners officially opened Pronghorn Park and Disc Golf Course this month. The park is located near Hess Road and Cross Canyon Trail in Castle Pines, on the east side of Interstate 25. Read More.

Honoring a legacy of dedication

Did you find your wedding gown or prom dress at Park Meadows Retail Resort? Or maybe that’s where you had your first job or grew a thriving retail career, or took your children to see Santa. This month, the Board of Douglas County Commissioners honored the leadership and legacy behind your memories at Park Meadows. 

Senior General Manager Pamela Kelly - who steadfastly led the retail resort through initial construction, its grand opening, several expansions, and a global pandemic - is retiring. The Board honored her dedication not just to Park Meadows, but also to the economic vitality of vendors, businesses, employees, and the entire Douglas County community. Read the Resolution.
