Schools and Libraries

July 6, 2022

From: Duxbury Free Library

The Duxbury Free Library will be undergoing repairs beginning Thursday, July 7, 2022.

Holds will be available for pick-up and we will have limited computer and printer access in the Resource Room on the lower level during our regularly scheduled hours. All other areas of the building will be closed to the public. Patrons can put holds on books by telephone or on our website and will be notified when they are ready to be picked up.

Book Club holds and Summer Reading books for Duxbury school lists will also be available to check out. Museum passes are also available.

Please return your books at the Reading Garden entrance; the book drop at the campus entrance will be locked. During the closure, all overdue fines will be waived, and due dates will be postponed until the building reopens to the public.

Library programs will continue as scheduled, either outdoors or in the Merry Room. Check the events calendar on our website for more information about programs. Staff will be available by phone to answer questions.
As always, our entire digital collection is available 24/7– try Hoopla, Libby, or Kanopy from your computer, phone, or streaming device on your television. You can brush up on a foreign language with Mango, or read the Boston Globe or New York Times through our website as well. Buying a new appliance? Check Consumer Reports on our website first.
