Celebrate Pride with the Evanston Public Library!

From drag queen storytime to book groups and pride parties, EPL has programs all month long.

Evanston, Ill. – It's Pride Month! Celebrate with the Evanston Public Library, where we've got programs for all ages!

Miss Coco Sho-nell returns to EPL to present two separate fun and fabulous Drag Queen Storytimes, on Saturday, June 4, at the EPL Robert Crown Branch Reading Garden, and on Wednesday, June 9, at the Main Library. Hear stories of kindness and acceptance and do a fun craft, too!

Children can also pick up a take-home craft kit to make a colorful rainbow windsock beginning today while supplies last, or join us June 13 for the Pride Crafternoon Party!

Learn waacking and voguing from a professional dancer then strut your stuff at our Teen Pride Party at EPL's Robert Crown Branch on Wednesday, June 22. Nothing to wear? No problem! Learn how to sew and bring your colorful fashion ideas to life at our Pride Sewing Session at the Teen Loft on June 12.

Adults can learn about legal questions specific to the LGBTQIA+ community in this month's installment of Law at the Library: LGBTQIA+ Issues on Tuesday, June 28, presented in partnership with the Chicago Public Library and the Chicago Bar Association. Hear a brief presentation from an experienced attorney and come with your own questions.
