Fact & Fiction Book Discussion
Join the Fact & Fiction Book Discussion Group on Wednesday, November 30th from 10am-11am at the East Falmouth Library Branch to share your thoughts on No Land To Light On: A Novel by Yara Zgheib.

"Sama and Hadi are a young Syrian couple in love, dreaming of their future in the country that brought them together. Sama came to Boston years before on a prestigious Harvard scholarship; Hadi landed there as a sponsored refugee from a bloody civil war.  Achingly intimate yet poignantly universal, No Land to Light On is a tense, moving novel about the meaning of home, the risks of exile, the power of nations, and the power of love."

Narrative Nonfiction Book Club
Join the Narrative Nonfiction Book Club on Thursday, December 1st from 4pm-5pm in the Hermann meeting room or via Zoom to share your thoughts on Travels with George: In Search of Washington and His Legacy by Nathaniel Philbrick.  Registration is required and copies are available for pickup at the reference desk.

"Weaving history and personal reflection into one narrative, Philbrick argues for Washington's unique contribution to the forging of America by retracing his journey as a new President through former colonies.  He paints a picture of 18th century America as divided and fraught as it is today, and he comes to understand how Washington entranced, compelled, enticed, and stood up to the many different kinds of citizens he met on this journey."
