Friends Annual Book Sale

Summer Book Sale and Donations
Mark your calendars!  The Friends of the Falmouth Public Library will hold their Annual Summer Book Sale from Thursday, June 29th through Monday, July 3rd, on the library lawn of the Main Library at 300 Main Street.  The book sale will be open every day from 10am to 4pm, except for July 3rd.  The July 3rd hours will be 10am to 12pm.
 
In preparation for the annual book sale, the Friends will stop accepting donations on June 17th and will resume accepting donations after the book sale on July 11th.  Donations are by appointment only.  Please call the Friends at 508-457-2555 x2918 during library hours.

Jigsaw Puzzles

The library has a new collection that we are excited to share with you!  Jigsaw Puzzles!
 
We have a collection of easy to challenging Jigsaw Puzzles containing 300, 500, 550, 750, and 1000 pieces.  Some Jigsaw Puzzles even come with "large size" pieces.  Scenes include landscapes, nature and animals, holidays and everything in-between.  
 
Browse this new collection that is located next to the circulation desk the next time you are in the library.  No checkout necessary.  Just take one home, put it together, and bring it back!

Story Walk: A Flag for Juneteenth
The library is happy to present the Storywalk® A Flag for Juneteenth by Kim Taylor on the library lawn from June 14th through June 24th!  
 
Enjoy walking the sideway path along the library while reading this story about Huldah and her community of African Americans in Texas creating a flag to celebrate their freedom.

Mini Herb Garden
Join us on the library lawn Thursday, June 8th at 3:30pm and plant a mini herb garden!  
 
We have many different herbs to choose from, and you will leave with a small pot and the beginning of an herb garden! No registration required, just stop on by.  

Book Bike at Cape Cod Apartments
The Falmouth Public Library Book Bike will be at the Cape Cod Apartments at 62 Locust Street on Monday, June 12th from 10:30am-11am.
 
Everyone is welcome!  Stop on by to receive free books this summer!  This visit is weather dependent.  

Falmouth Senior Center Book Club - Our Missing Hearts
Join us on Tuesday, June 13th at 1pm at the Senior Center (780 Main Street) as we discuss this month's selection Our Missing Hearts: A Novel by Celeste Ng!  Copies of the book can be picked up at the book club meetings at the Senior Center or at the Falmouth Public Library's reference desk.  No registration is required.
