JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Do you need a place to try the new off-road vehicle Santa brought you? Team members at Finger Lakes State Park have the perfect event for you! Join them on New Year’s Day for a free, guided off-road vehicle trail ride. Bring your own vehicle to the motocross track, where the fun kicks off with a group photo at 1:30 p.m.

The 10-mile ride will take place on the main off-road vehicle trail and will include scenic areas in the park. Participants should have at least moderate off-road riding skills and are encouraged to bring water, snacks and any tools or supplies needed to maintain their machine. Age-appropriate vehicles are required and a licensed adult must accompany those under the age of 18, on a separate vehicle. Passengers are allowed on side-by-sides or ATVs that are 50 inches wide or less.

Following the ride, everyone is welcome to continue exploring the park or join the park team for some hot chocolate.

Finger Lakes State Park is located at 1505 E. Peabody Road in Columbia. For more information about the event, call the park office at 573-443-5315.
