Flags lowered for victims of Illinois parade shooting

As a mark of respect for the victims of “the senseless acts of gun violence perpetrated on our Independence Day,” President Biden has ordered that American flags be flown at half-staff until sunset Saturday. Seven people were killed and dozens more injured in the shooting during a Fourth of July parade in Highland Park, Illinois.
