The 5th largest festival in the region, and has taken its place as one of the top 20 festivals in the Southeast. The Gaslight Festival, hosted by The Chamber Jeffersontown, brings an estimated 200,000 visitors to Jeffersontown every year.

Centered in the small-town ambiance of Gaslight Square, the festival has evolved into a eight-day extravaganza that has become a time-honored tradition of Jeffersontown. It is through the efforts of The Chamber that the festival now hosts a motorcycle rally, car show, golf scramble, 5K, parade, balloon glow, children’s playground, live entertainment and over 200 arts, crafts and commercial booths. The Gaslight Festival is always the 3rd weekend in September.

September 11, 2022:

Gaslight Thunder Rally:

Established in 2007, the Gaslight Poker Rally is a 95 mile ride with four stops. After the rally the motorcycle enthusiasts enjoy dinner, door prize drawing, and live entertainment. The event also includes a 50/50 Drawing, food and drinks, and door prizes.

This Thunder Rally will be a 9/11 Memorial Ride.

September 12, 2022:

Gaslight Golf Scramble:

The Gaslight Golf Scramble gives participants the opportunity to network with top business and community leaders. Golf foursomes play best ball competing to win cash prizes. After 18 holes, the winning teams and door prize winners are announced at the awards ceremony.

September 13, 2022:

Gaslight Festival 5K:

The Gaslight 5K Walk/Run registration is open for all ages including wheelchair participants. Over 750 runners start and end at the Jeffersontown City Hall for the evening race. An awards ceremony, power snacks, and door prizes take part after the runners cross the finish line.

Business Appreciation Day:

The City of Jeffersontown provides lunch and live entertainment to all the local businesses and employees of Jeffersontown from 11:00am- 2:00pm at Skyview Park (2700 Watterson Trail).

Gaslight Festival Parade:

Everyone loves a parade! Join us for the Gaslight Festival parade through Jeffersontown. Support your local schools, bands, businesses, family and friends.

The parade will start at the J’town Commons Shopping Center, come up Taylorsville Rd to Watterson Trail. Turn right on Watterson Trail and end at College Drive.

Location: Starts at Jeffersontown Commons Shopping Center and goes East on Taylorsville Road, then South on Watterson Trail to College Drive

Gaslight Balloon Glow:

Hot Air Balloons illuminate and glimmer together in front of thousands of Jeffersontown residents. The event also includes live music, festival food, and children’s activities.

Glow begins at 7:15pm

Jeffersontown Farmers Market - Explore A Truck:

Explore A Truck puts your family in the driver’s seat! Visitors will see a variety of trucks and equipment, from bucket trucks to fire engines. Kids will be allowed to explore the real world in new ways by interacting with familiar vehicles and asking questions of their operators.

Trucks, heavy machinery, and other vehicles will be on hand courtesy of various community partners including Jeffersontown Public Works, Jeffersontown Police and Fire Departments, Louisville Water Company, LG&E, and more.

Visit the Jeffersontown Farmers market (rain or shine) to get hands on with a variety of trucks and equipment, from bucket trucks to city buses. Adults and kids alike will have the chance to dream big as they discover their favorite vehicles and meet the community helpers who make them go.
