Always the most anticipated event of the year at Deep Water Vineyard, our Stomp Festival is back in full force.  Food, drinks, vendors, grape stomping, new wine, new friends, and even fun for the kiddos too.  Also, while it lasts, we'll have our ever-popular strawberry wine "Have a Ball, Lucille”.  This is our most popular festival, so we know tasting time slots will sell out quickly. If you want to be guaranteed a spot, get your tasting and stomping tickets when you buy your parking pass.

Stuff for the Kids - Our friends from Good Clean Fun will be out with plenty of fun (and Free!) things to distract your little ones, truth be told, adults love their activities as well!  Kids will love visiting our animals and sipping on a kid slushies too!

Vendors - Many lowcountry vendors to choose from!

Drinks - Tastings from Deep Water Vineyard as well as beer, wine-a-ritas, draft meads, bloody mary’s, and mimosas as well.

Allowed - Well-behaved, kids, adults, and dogs on leashes. Lawn chairs, umbrellas, blankets.

Not Allowed - Coolers, outside alcohol, and unbehaved adults and dogs.

Stomping - You can sign up for our stomp contest when you get your parking pass, we will have 4 competitive stomps. Your $20 ticket to stomp is for you AND YOUR PARTNER, you only need 1 ticket for your team.  One of you will stomp, the other will catch the juice.   Please bring a great attitude and a great stomping partner; you’ll have a chance to win big prizes!

We'll also have some barrels with grapes to stomp if you don't want to enter the competition and are just looking for a photo opportunity.

Lucy Look-a-Like Contest:

The highlight of the Grape Stomping Festival is the Lucy Look-A-Like Contest, where "I Love Lucy" Fans will get their chance to don their best Lucy costume and reenact the famous 1956 episode of "I Love Lucy" when Lucy takes a job in a vineyard and stomps grapes. It’s going to be a “grape” time at the Annual Grape Stomping Festival on Saturday, August 27th, from 10:00 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Deep Water Vineyard.  Visitors can stomp local muscadines for the Grape Stomping Contest, compete in the annual Lucy Look-a-Like Contest and enjoy a fun-filled day under the oaks at Charleston’s only vineyard and winery.

Charity:

Our charity partner for this festival is The Formation Project, an amazing Charleston-based, survivor-led non-profit providing direct services to survivors of human trafficking.
