“Anything and everything you have experienced up until this moment has been purposeful and the lessons learned are priceless lessons, yet it has brought you to where you are now. You and I have purpose. Find YOUR purpose daily and live life to the fullest, and never give up.”

That’s just one example of the inspiration that Andrew Reddish brings to the staff and students at Triangle Lake Montessori. His daily emails are designed to motivate and uplift his colleagues so that they can better serve students, and the effect they have on morale is clear. On Thursday, to the cheers of the entire student body, the lead custodian was named the March GCS Employee of the Month.

“Words cannot express what Mr. Reddish means to the Triangle Lake Montessori family,” wrote principal Pamela Ford in her nomination. “He is seen all over the building on any given day, by being in a classroom supporting a student, dealing with custodial responsibilities, ensuring our school is safe, and being visible to ALL staff by being in the cafeteria daily. Every day, Sir Reddish sends an email to the Triangle Lake Montessori staff. These messages are powerful in their own way as they resonate with each of us differently depending on where we are socially and emotionally. This act of kindness led us to invite him to be part of our Social and Emotional Learning Team for the school. There, his voice is heard and respected. He is well-respected by the staff, students and families at Triangle Lake Montessori.”

Reddish received a $50 gift card courtesy of the Greensboro Jaycees. During the month of March, his photo will be displayed at the district’s central offices, at Triangle Lake Montessori and in the Greensboro Jaycees office.
