Board Passes Interim Budget Resolution
The interim budget will allow the school system to continue operating normally

Guilford County Schools will operate on an interim budget until the Department of Public Instruction releases the 2022-2023 state fund allotments.

Tonight, the Guilford County Schools Board of Education voted to approve the interim budget in accordance with NCGS 115C-434.

An interim budget allows the school system to continue to pay salaries and wages of employees and all other ordinary expenses that may come up between the beginning of the upcoming fiscal year and the adoption of a formal budget resolution.

The budget will be amended as needed once state and federal allocations have been finalized.
