Tuesday, March 14

FAFSA Helpline – Families and students needing assistance filling out the all-important FAFSA form can get help. Guilford Parent Academy and GCS Counseling Services will have a hotline for Title One Families to assist them with filling out the application. Staff will be on hand Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to walk families through the process. The number is 336-370-3270.

Finish the FAFSA – Guilford County Schools seniors are invited to dinner and a workshop to complete their Free Application for Federal Student AID, NC Residency Determination Service application and shift_ed scholarship application. The event is from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Western Guilford High School.

Managing Parental Burnout – Guilford Parent Academy has partnered with the Kellin Foundation to offer a virtual session for parents and guardians. The webinar will provide tools for adults on how to manage and cope with stress and get ongoing support from experts. The session is from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interested families can register by emailing [email protected]

Wednesday, March 15

All Dads In – Two dads of former Triangle Lake Montessori are returning to campus to relaunch a successful program called “All Dads In.” The program invites fathers to come to the school to have breakfast with their children and chat with other men about fatherhood and other shared experiences. The event is from 7:15 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. in the media center.

Family STEM Night – Families living near Fairview Elementary are invited to participate in a night of STEM. The school has partnered with the NC A&T/UNCG Joint School of Nanotechnology and Nanoengineering for the event that will feature different demonstrations and hands-on STEM activities. The event is from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
