The Millis Public Library will be closed on Monday, October 10th in honor of the Federal Holiday.
Stop in before that to get any books, movies, or games you might need, and (if you miss us), check out our E-Resources page to see all the Library resources available 24/7 from anywhere. We'll see you after on Tuesday, October 11th!

It's coming! Friday from 6-8pm will be the Friends Only preview sale, Saturday from 9am -1pm will be the general sale, and Sunday from 1-3pm will be the $5 bag sale.

Book donations will be accepted through October 14th. After that the donation room will be locked up so the Friends can prepare for the sale and will reopen in early November.

Craig Harris's Indigenous Music: More than Drums and Flutes has been, unfortunately, postponed. We'll let you know when we can reschedule!

We are also postponing the Open Mic Night for Middle School. Instead, this Friday, October 7th, we'll be making Halloween Haunted Gingerbread Houses! Starting at 6:30pm, anyone between grades 6 and 8 is welcome to join us in building and decorating their own spooky creations that they'll be able to take home and eat! Registration is required, to make sure we have enough kits, so sign up each participant here!

Join us on Saturday, October 8th at 1:30pm for Big Ryan's Tall Tales! You'll be in for a funny, fast paced story telling show recommended for children ages 3-8! (We welcome children of any age to join us.) Ryan uses humor, songs and puppets to engage his young audiences.

No registration required.

Girls Who Code is starting again!

Millis Girls Who Code is a free weekly program for girls in grades 5-12, where they will learn coding and programming skills in a supportive environment of peers and role models.

No prior knowledge required, but please register to join. This semester's sessions will begin Wednesday, October 12th at 3:45pm and we still have room for both new and returning coders!

We'd like to invite you to join us for a an hour of quiet relaxation with another session of Coloring for Adults! Join us on Friday, October 14th at 6:30pm to pick your coloring sheet (or bring your own) and relax to soothing music-- maybe even have a couple snacks. Coloring has been proven to help reduce stress, so take a break from your busy life and reset before your weekend.

Everything you'll need will be provided just bring yourself! No registration required.

Calling all board game enthusiasts - our next Board Game Night for Adults is coming! Mark your calendars for Thursday, October 20th at 6pm, as well as the third Thursday of each month, to play your favorite games, learn new games, and meet new board game buddies in the community!

We will provide different featured games each month and welcome gamers of all levels. Feel free to bring in your favorite game to teach as well!

Please register here so we get a sense of how many games we will need!

Millis Memory Cafe is coming back! Come spend the morning with us on Monday, October 24th starting at 10:30am.

A memory café is a welcoming place for individuals and families living with memory changes. Each café event will feature a guest artist or performer, time for conversation, as well as coffee and refreshments.

Millis Memory Café will generally be held the 4th Monday of each month from 10:30 AM to 12 Noon in the Roche Brothers Community Room. All are welcome and there is no cost to attend.
