Open Mic Night w/ Featured Guest Ric Page!

Thursday, September 15 at 7:00 PM

Are you a performing artist, established or aspiring? Join HPL for an Open Mic Night on Thursday, September 15 at 7:00 PM! Our featured performer this month is Ric Page. Come and sing, play an instrument. read poetry, or more! Share your art with us.

Ric Page has been singing since grammar school and started playing the guitar in the Summer of 1968.  In the early 70’s through the early 80’s toured the East Coast and Canada in a number of bands.  In 1983, he came off the road and played in a general business band for 20 years.  After, he decided to go solo, but did team up with various musicians over the years and performed in trios and duos.

Diagnosed with cancer in 2015, Ric wanted to take the negative experience and turn it into something positive.  In December of 2019, Ric released a CD: “Tales From The Big C”, with songs written or finished during recovery.  Unfortunately, the COVID19 Pandemic prevented the proper release and promotion of the CD.  However, his music is on all streaming platforms.  Ric continues to play as a solo act and also very active in a duo: Dodging Frogs.

Growing up in the late 50’s and 60’s, Ric was greatly influenced by early Rock. He was attracted to this new music and started composing his own music influenced by some of the greatest rock bands of the day. As time progressed and music genres morphed into new styles, Ric discovered and fell in love with jazz and progressive rock.  His music closely emulates these styles.  Ric’s extraordinary vocal range and eclectic guitar stylings make him unique in his own right.

He very much enjoys performing his own music as well as seldom heard, but loved cover tunes he arranges.  He often live-streams performances 3 to 4 times weekly and plays to live audiences at various local venues.

This is a hybrid program. It will take place in the auditorium with a Zoom option available. When registering, please indicate whether you plan to attend in person or on Zoom.

Please visit haverhillpl.org or call 978-373-1586, x608 to register.

Virtual Tabletop Guild

Saturday, September 17 at 2:00 PM

An ancient darkness is on the rise as the Virtual Tabletop Guild continues the Age of Ashes campaign for Pathfinder 2nd Edition!

Nestled in the foothills of the Five Kings Mountains, the quaint town of Breachill has a proud tradition of assembling groups of adventurers to handle tasks beyond the skill and scope of their humble guardsmen. When during this month's Call for Heroes a humble goblin scholar beseeches the town council to investigate the signals for help from an abandonned Hellknight citadel, will our adventurers be up for the task? What strange creatures and bygone mysteries will they find hidden beneath Hellknight Hill?

Participants may create their own 2nd level characters for Pathfinder 2nd edition to play as, or use available pregenerated characters. If you have any questions about this process or the system, feel free to send me an email!

The meeting will be conducted virtually via Discord and the Foundry virtual tabletop program.

-For Adults (18+) only.

Registration is required. A link to the Foundry game will be sent at least 15 minutes prior to event start time.

Registrants must have a stable internet connection, a microphone (integrated, external, or headset) and headphones/earbuds.
