Haverhill Public Library Youth Services Newsletter - June 2022

Hello friends!

Summer is almost upon us! Gear up for our Camp iRead summer reading program starting June 18! We're kicking off summer reading with a day long event full of fun activities like a performance by Toe Jam Puppet Band, mini-golf, laser tag, Jedi Academy, henna, food trucks, and more! See the full schedule of events here. (Please note: laser tag and Jedi Academy require registration).

Lapsit
Every other Monday at 10am
Join Joanna for a baby storytime on Monday mornings in the auditorium! We have storytime supplies for families to use and keep, so that the kiddos can safely participate in this fun program (i.e. shaker, scarf, song/rhyme handouts). You'll get a storytime bag the first time you attend Lapsit, then bring it with you every Monday!  

Program geared at ages 0-2 (older siblings welcome)

Program will be outdoors when weather is nice! Then, we will meet on the hill next to the library. Bring a blanket to sit on.

Pre-K Storytimers!
Thursdays at 10am
Join Joan for reading adventures at Pre-K Storytimers!! We will read stories, play games, do crafts, and have oodles of fun.

This program geared at children who are 3 to 5 years old, and the program may be held outside during nice weather.

Therapy Dogs
The dogs are back! Sign up for a 15 min session to read to one of our adorable therapy dogs - Dottie, Tosh, Finn, or Maverick.

Stories with Dottie - Saturday, June 4 at 10am
Stories with Finn - Monday, June 6 at 4pm
Stories with Maverick - Wednesday, June 15, at 6:30pm
Stories with Tosh - Tuesday, June 21, at 6:30pm

Little Explorers
Monday, June 6 at 10am
Bring your little one in to explore some new types of activities and materials with other little ones.

Ages 0-2, but older siblings welcome.

Crochet for Kids
Wednesday, June 8 at 4pm
Joanna will be teaching you everything you need to know to get started with your own crochet creations! Come and learn the basics. No prior experience needed.

Ages 8-12. Registration is required.

Join FCC and Rockabye Beats for an interactive music class.

This class is filled with songs for all ages, live music, bilingual songs, dancing and more!  

New! Infant and Toddler Session: Wednesday June 1, 8, 15, and 22 at 10:30. Saturday June 25 at 10:30.
Class for all ages are on the same dates at 11:30am.
