Members-Only Artist Reception

at Highfield Hall & Gardens

We are thrilled to present
Understory: A Juried Selection of Art by Members of
The Guild of American Papercutters Reception
on Sunday, June 26th from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

This expertly curated event explores the time-honored tradition of papercutting. Enjoy a beverage and safely social distance with other patrons as you wander through the house, experience artist demonstrations, and discover the remarkable craftsmanship of this art form.

Understory refers to the rich variety of life and activity found near and on the forest floor, where little sun penetrates. The Guild of American Papercutters (GAP) members explore the literal and figurative understory, as well as hidden, underground, or underwater ecosystems.

The Guild of American Papercutters is a membership-based community that promotes awareness, heritage preservation and advancement of the art of papercutting.

This benefit is for current members and artists featured in the show.
If you have friends who are not members, but are interested in joining or rejoining, please bring them to the event. They can join during the reception.

Show artists and members are free!
Highfield Hall & Gardens exists for you. It exists because of you.
