Summer Reading 2022: Ocean of Possibilities

Monday, May 23-Sunday, August 7 in the Teen Department

(Rising 6th-12th Grade) An “Ocean of Possibilities” await with this year’s summer reading program. Sign up May 23-August 7, 2022 to participate. Dive deep into summer reading! For every three books checked out, receive an entry into our weekly drawing and our end-of-the-summer grand prize drawing! Bring your checkout receipt to the Teen/Adult Services desk to receive your entry slip. Remember, the more entries, the more opportunities to win!

Murder in Maui: A Luau to Die For, A Teen Murder Mystery

Thursday, June 2, from 2-4 p.m. Large Auditorium

Be part of the mystery and help solve the crime! Just like a game of Clue, every character is important. Closer to the event, you will be assigned a character, so please only register if you are sure you can attend. Costumes and props are encouraged! Open to rising 6th-12th graders only. ACT Practice Test with Princeton Review

Saturdays, June 4 & 25, from 10 a.m. –2 p.m.

Don’t procrastinate! Take action NOW to ensure you improve your ACT Score. Try a full-length FREE practice ACT test online today. This free practice test is offered by Princeton Review. Teen Dungeons & Dragons

GirlSpring Meeting

Magic: the Gathering for Teens

Interested in learning about Magic: the Gathering? Each game represents a battle between wizards known as “planeswalkers”, who employ spells, artifacts, and creatures depicted on individual Magic cards to defeat their opponents. Teen Theatre Thursdays

Teen Dungeons & Dragons: Tournament of Champions

"Hear ye Hear ye, the great Dungeons and Dragons tournament of Homewood Public Library is upon us. All who wish to enter MUST come with a fully made level 7 character to enter. There will be no homebrew allowed at the tournament. All those who are not entered into the tournament in the first week may come as spectators, but must be respectful of the players.
