Oceans of Possibilities 
How many books can you read this summer? Read or listen to any fiction or nonfiction books, audiobooks or ebooks; log the titles and register for drawings to win prizes donated by Friends of the Hoover Library. 

Pick up a reading log at the Fiction or Nonfiction desks or register online at hooverlibrary.beanstack.org.

Stop by the Nonfiction Department every day in July and test the trivia skills of the librarians for a chance to win a prize. Play once every day during July.

Our Sunday afternoon book club reads Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe by Heather Webber, a captivating blend of magical realism, heartwarming romance, and small-town Southern charm.

Hoover Library will be OPEN regular hours on Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3.

Hoover Library will be CLOSED for Independence Day on Monday, July 4. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, July 5.

Fiction Addiction Book Club 

Read and discuss Digging to America by Anne Tyler, the story of two very different families who meet at the airport awaiting the arrival of their adopted infant daughters from Korea.

Purl on the Plaza

Join old friends and make new ones at this crafty meeting of all fiber enthusiasts. We love to see anyone with a portable craft such as knitting, crochet, tatting, embroidery, or other fiber crafts.

Houseplant Swap

Exchange houseplants with others, share tips and tricks, and get to know other plant addicts. Bring in healthy plants, rooted in dirt or loose cuttings, and be ready to trade with others!
