The Town of Huntersville, American Legion Post 321 & Sons of the American Legion Post 321 invite you to save the date for our 8th Annual Veterans Day Parade & Ceremony on Saturday, November 11, 2023.

This year's parade theme is "Honoring our Past; Our Veterans of the Forgotten War" with the goal of honoring the veterans who fought in the Korean War.

“A contributing factor to why the Korean War is called the Forgotten War is primarily the overshadowing effects of the preceding World War II and the Vietnam and Cold War's just around the corner. The Forgotten War was essentially sandwiched between significant conflicts involving more powers”.

If you are a Korean War Veteran or know a living Korean War Veteran that would be interested in sharing your story and/or participating in our parade, we invite you to reach out to Maria Cepeda at [email protected] .

We want the community to line the streets and thankfully cheer on our parade participants at 10 a.m. and then meet us back at Veterans Park for the 11 a.m. ceremony to honor and remember those who serve and have served.

Awards For: Best Adult, Best Youth Group, Best Marching Band, Best Performance Group, Most Patriotic, Best Themed Float, Best JROTC/ROTC Marching Group
