From: Institute Of Contemporary Art Museum

The countdown has started! There are only two weeks left to experience our summer exhibitions featuring the work of Carmen ArgoteAlberta Whittle, and Tr??ng Công Tùng.

Lucky for you, we have a few more exciting programs on the horizon that invite you to explore the works on view, starting with a program tomorrow, Saturday, August 26, focusing on contemporary art from Vietnam. The day beings at 10:30am with a tour of Vietnam in Transition: 1976–Present led by artist and educator Phung Huynh at the Wende Museum, followed by a tour of Tr??ng Công Tùng at ICA LA led by artist Bruce Yonemoto. See our website for the schedule and more details.Next Wednesday, August 30, in conjunction with Carmen Argote: I won’t abandon you, I see you, we are safe, join us for IN PROCESS with Carmen Argote and collaborator Daniela Lieja Quintanar. This special exhibition walkthrough will feature a handmade miniature of the ICA LA exhibition and take place at Argote's home and studio in Boyle Heights. That Friday, September 1, we are hosting Art Buzz, which includes an exhibition walkthrough followed by a discussion with artist Carmen Argote, philosopher Rossen Ventzislavov, and ICA LA Senior Curator Amanda Sroka. Then on Wednesday, September 6, don’t miss ON PROCESS—our final exhibition program that brings together Carmen Argote and her invited collaborators for a moderated conversation on mothering, intimacy, and learning.Planning to attend one of these programs? We encourage you to arrive early and allow yourself extra time to watch the full length of the featured film in Alberta Whittle: between a whisper and a cry, the themes in which are more poignant than ever as so many are recovering from the devastating effects of the recent wildfires in Maui and Hurricane Hilary. Also engaging with our entangled relationship to one another and to the land is Tr??ng Công Tùng, currently on view in the Project Room and recently reviewed
in Hyperallergic.

The last day of our summer exhibitions is Sunday, September 10, and we hope to welcome you here in these final weeks!
