In this interactive installation, visitors can trigger sound and video to remix the story of an ecofeminist paleodendrologist expelled from her time, using tree rings, vinyl records, and radio to stop the elites from selling the future.

Jack Straw's audio workshops with engineer Tom Stiles are the perfect opportunity to improve your studio skills or get that first introduction to the world of audio recording and editing.

Learn the basics of creating and maintaining a podcast, from concept to planning, production, and distribution.

Intro to Digital Audio Editing: Monday, February 27, 6:30-9:30pm

Fee: $50 (held on Zoom)

Learn the basic skills of recording and editing sound with audio editing software. 

Microphone Workshop: Thursday, March 2, 6-10pm

Fee: $75 (In person class, masks and COVID vaccination required)

A detailed look at microphone types, pickup patterns, placement and use, both for live and studio applications.

Jack Straw Writers and Bushwick Book Club Seattle 

Jack Straw and the Bushwick Book Club Seattle are once again teaming up to create new music inspired by the work of the Jack Straw Writers!
