Penguin Plunge ‘N Paddle

This 14th annual event benefits Healing Paws For Warriors. Participants start the New Year by dashing or paddle boarding from the beach at Juana's into the Santa Rosa Sound. Come join the Bear Bait family for an old-school, low key and well-organized ultra at the beautiful Adventures Unlimited property! Take on one of our 50-mile, 50 km, 25 km, or 4-mile distance runs. NEW for this year- Challenge yourself further by running multiple events in the weekend with our Bear Challenge Combinations! The 2023 event will be at the Adventures Unlimited property, about 11 miles away from Bear Lake. The course will be a 4-mile loop. It traces beautifully along Wolf Creek and Coldwater Creek taking you through several different ecological environments, with technical sections (roots), fast-flat sections, some twisty trench sections, and some groomed nature trail sections. The course will be well-marked, and will also have reflective markers on trees for the night runners.

A Groovy 70s Party to Welcome Snowbirds and Wintertime Guests to the Navarre Beach Area

The Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (NBACOC) and the Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Office (SRCTDO) will host “A Groovy 70s Party” to welcome Snowbirds and Wintertime Guests to the Navarre Beach Area. All Snowbirds and Wintertime Guests are invited to grab your love beads, old forty-fives and dust off your bell bottoms for “A Groovy 70s Party” that jives! Boogie on down to St. Sylvester Catholic Church, 6464 Gulf Breeze Parkway in Navarre to experience all that Navarre Beach and Santa Rosa County have to offer! There will be plenty of vendors giving away free goodies, along with fun, music, games, prizes and more! Food and beverages will be provided by many of the wonderful local eateries in the Navarre Beach area.

Ian C. Lockwood Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament

Ian loved to golf! We love to keep his legacy alive and do things to remember and honor him. This will be Ian's 12th anniversary of his passing. Proceeds from the tournament will go towards the Ian C. Lockwood Scholarship.
