Jink Dodgers Recall Justin Bruihl and Jonny Delucax

Los Angeles, CA - The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled left-handed pitcher Justin Bruihl and outfielder Jonny Deluca, optioned right-handed pitcher Nick Robertson and placed outfielder Jake Marisnick on the injured list with a left hamstring strain.

Bruihl, 26, returns for his fifth stint with the team and he is 1-0 with a 3.72 ERA (8 ER/19.1 IP) and 15 strikeouts in 15 games for the Dodgers this season. With Triple-A Oklahoma City, he was 5-2 with a 2.04 ERA (4 ER/17.2 IP) and 17 strikeouts in 15 games. He has been with the Dodgers parts of three seasons and he is 2-2 with a 3.50 ERA (24 ER/61.2 IP) and 39 strikeouts while limiting left-handed hitters to a .186 (21-for-113) batting average with 20 strikeouts in 60 games (two starts). The southpaw was originally signed as non-drafted free agent on July 15, 2017 after finishing his collegiate career at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Deluca, 25, returns after being optioned prior to the game on Friday night. He has appeared in 20 games for the Dodgers, hitting .212 (7-for-33) with one double, one homer and three RBI. With Triple-A Oklahoma City, he hit .315 (23-for-73) with three doubles, one triple, four homers and 19 RBI in 17 games. He began the season with Double-A Tulsa, hitting .279 (34-for-122) with 10 homers and 18 RBI. Last season, he played in 101 games between High-A Great Lakes and Double-A Tulsa, recording 23 doubles, 22 homers and 64 RBI. The Southern California native was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the 25th round of the 2019 First Year Player Draft out of the University of Oregon.

Robertson, 24, has appeared in nine games for the Dodgers, allowing 10 runs (seven earned) in 10.1 innings with 13 strikeouts. Last night, he pitched 1.2 innings, allowing one run on four hits with two strikeouts. With Oklahoma City, he was 2-0 record with a 2.73 ERA (8 ER/26.1 IP) and 39 strikeouts. He is in his fourth minor league season with the Dodgers, and he is a combined 5-7 with a 3.58 ERA (67 ER/168.1 IP) and 212 strikeouts in 133 games. He was originally a seventh-round selection in the 2019 First Year Player Draft out of James Madison University.

Marisnick, 32, recorded a single last night before exiting the game. He appeared in four games for the Dodgers, going 2-for-5 with an HBP. He has been in the Major Leagues parts of 11 seasons with Miami (2013-14), Houston (2014-2019), New York-NL (2020), Chicago-NL (2021), San Diego (2021), Pittsburgh (2022), Chicago-AL (2023), Detroit (2023) and Los Angeles-NL (2023), hitting a combined .228 (469-for-2053) with 96 doubles, 65 homers and 223 RBI. He was originally drafted in the 3rd round of the 2009 First Year Player Draft out of Riverside Polytechnic High School.
