Join us in the community room to watch Cruella, a crime comedy based on the character Cruella de Vil from Dodie Smith's 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians.

Family Game Night
Thurs, Nov. 3 from 6:30 - 8pm

Join other gamer players for Ticket to Ride.

Hike at Grayville: Hibernation
Fri, Nov. 4 at 11am

We'll gather for a hike at your children's pace, nurturing their innate curiosity, and enjoying free play and community building out in nature. This month we will talk about the changing seasons, hibernation, and maybe even build some forts. Dress in layers and for dirt and water play, bring water, and a picnic lunch should you wish.

First Friday Fam Jam!
Fri, Nov. 4 at 5pm

Bring your voices, instruments, and dancin' feet on the first Friday of each month. We'll be in the Community Room, ready to sing everything from Raffi, to classic rounds, to songs we make up on the fly. Email your song requests, ideas, and dedications to [email protected].

Everyone’s different; let’s be different together. A monthly meet-up group for multi-age neurodivergent and special needs children. Join Youth Services Librarian, MG, and community member, Heather, for open-ended play and activities for the children, community building with the parents, caregivers, and siblings. Watch the new movie in 4K with Dolby Atmo sound on our new projector. It will be a lot more intense than your own living room.

Cozy Read Aloud
Tues, Nov. 15 at 4pm

Join Youth Services Librarian MG in the Story Room downstairs where together we will enjoy a simple story time of a few books and songs. Bring your own blanket to cozy up and listen to some picture books be read aloud, then choose some of your own to take home!

Lebanon Lions Vision Testing for Homeschoolers
Fri, Nov. 18 from 3:30 - 4:30 pm

The Lebanon Lions Club and The Kids Sight Program will be providing vision testing for people of all ages. This short electronic screening will tell you if you should see an optometrist. Each screening takes less than five minutes.

Happy Marcel Day!

Marcel, JTL's Red Eared Slider, is having a party and you're invited. We're celebrating the one year anniversary of adopting our feisty turtle lady. Join us in the children's library to learn about Marcel and other turtles, make a craft, and visit with surprise guests.

Family Movie Afternoon

Tiny Yogi
Mondays at 11am

Join Michelle for a tiny yogi class in the community room, no experience necessary. Please bring a blanket/towel/yoga mat. This class is for children birth-preschool and their caregivers.

Zoom Cartooning
Mondays at 4pm

Learn to draw cartoons with Bill Dougal. Ages 7-12. Register at https://lebanonctlibrary.org/calendar/events

Read, Rock & Rhyme
Wednesdays at 11am

Join us in the Community Room to share songs, rhymes, musical instruments, movement, finger plays and more. Open play is available at the end of the program. RR&R is for children ages 0 - 2 years & their caregivers (siblings too).

Poetry Out Loud
Wednesdays from 2:30 - 4 pm

Weekly workshop series facilitated by library aide, Shomriel. Each week we will read works by various poets, share original poems, practice memorization and performance techniques. This month, we also welcome visiting poets from Poetic Release, UCONN's slam poetry group. This program is for teens, ages 13-18. We meet in the Teen Room; after school busing available from Lyman, just bring a note to the main office.

Games with Matt
Thursdays at 4pm

Chess - Nov. 10 We meet in the community room for an hour and play chess or solve chess puzzles. This is not a place to learn how to play, this is a place to play. Ages 8+

Magic the Gathering - Nov. 3 & 17 We meet for an hour and play Magic the Gathering. The official recommended age for the game is 13+ because it is complicated, but we can help you learn the game.

Tai Chi with Joe Pandolfo

Thursdays at 5:15 pm

Each week we explore rejuvenating movements, simple wellness techniques and tranquil meditations from classical Chinese healing and living arts.

Beginners and all levels welcome.

Homeschool Friday
Friday, Nov. 18 at 2pm

Calling all homeschoolers, unschoolers, self-directed learners of all kinds and ages! We'll meet to play, explore, and exchange learning ideas and pathways, host special guests, play outside, create artwork, and read books.

11/18: Make decorations to celebrate Marcel. Stay after for free vision screenings with the Lions Club. No meetup 11/11 or 11/25 (library closed for holidays)

Warhammer 40k
Fridays, Nov. 4 & 18 at 4pm

Gather to play and discuss the lore of Warhammer 40,000. Bring miniatures, rule books, and a friend. Ages 10-18.

Yoga with Tina

Saturdays, Nov. 12, 19, 26 at 9:30 am

Join Tina Rice of Yoga Me Happy CT for yoga on the Green or in the library. Bring a yoga mat/towel and water bottle.
