Every nook in Kala's auction exhibition is filled with treasures. We have work to collect by 100+ talented artists, wine, gift certificates for art supplies, restaurants, and more. There is something for everyone. Get in on the action for a good cause! You can browse and bid online here. Bidding closes Sunday, May 22nd at 5pm (PST).
For the final week of Kala's auction exhibition, Kala's gallery will be open May May 18-22, Wed - Sun, 12-5pm.
Thanks for supporting Kala as we celebrate our 48th year, upgrade facilities, and raise funds to increase access to art-making opportunities for all generations.
2022-2023 Media Arts Residency Award
The application is now open! Deadline is May 29, 2022 at 11:59 pm (PST).
Kala Art Institute provides Media Arts Residency Awardees with up to a 6-month residency with 24/7 access to Kala’s facilities, along with the opportunity to produce work in collaboration with Kala programs, a culminating exhibition in the Kala gallery, and in-house expertise for the duration of the residency. Artists working in and across video, sound, performance cinema, and installation will continue this program into its 5th year, a creative residency at Kala to create multi-media projects that culminate in Kala programming.
Open Call for Adult Class Proposals Fall 2022!
Kala is now accepting proposals for Fall 2022 Classes! Classes will run from September to the end of December. For more information, please check out Teaching at Kala web page.
The priority deadline for submissions is July 1, 2022. All applications thereafter will be reviewed on a rolling basis. We welcome classes that allow for expansion of an artistic practice as well as a conceptual approach to making.
