Teddy Bear Clinics

Wednesdays | 2 PM - 5 PM

Students from UNC-Chapel Hill pre-professional programs are volunteering in this exhibit and engaging with families. Children can bring their own Teddy Bear or borrow one of ours as they navigate through the clinic with UNC students, administer a vaccine to their Bear, conduct a well check-up, and learn about all things wellness! Included with admission!

Junior Gardeners

Thursdays until November 17th, 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM

This FREE informal program allows visitors to drop in to our outdoor learning space and help Kidzu staff care for the garden. Water plants, place silk flowers in our dig plot, arrange the fairy garden, and more! Nature books and simple activities will also be available.

Sensory-Friendly Night

Wednesday, July 20th | 5:30 PM - 7 PM

Join the Town of Chapel Hill and Kidzu for this FREE monthly program specifically for children with different needs. Explore Kidzu without the noise, crowds, and stimulation of the typical museum visit. We limit the number of families who can attend and provide adaptive equipment such as noise-reducing headphones, sand timers, fidget toys, and visual schedules. Siblings and other family members are encouraged to attend.

Robo Rave

Saturday, July 23rd | 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM

Join Eastbots, a local robotics team, to explore the amazing abilities of technology! Eastbots will display their large robots throughout the museum and show you how to interact with Kidzu’s robots in the Makery. Included with admission!

Parents' Night Out

Saturday, July 23rd | 6 PM - 9 PM

Kids are invited to play and explore at Kidzu while parents enjoy an evening out! This fun-filled night will include exhibit play, crafts, movie, and dinner from Alfredo’s Pizza Villa. This is a drop-off event for children ages 3-9. Kids will exercise their minds, bodies, imagination and independence.
