With the long weekend upon us, Kidzu is excited to be announcing its robust summer STEAM and literacy initiatives launching next week!

Kidzu's Story Stroll

Starting Wednesday, July 5th

Join Kidzu in beating the summer slide by attending a sampling of weekly and monthly literacy programs for the whole family! Children can pick up a Story Stroll activity sheet that records their participation and offers prizes along the way! Come celebrate summer with a host of local authors and multilingual readers!

Summer of STEAM

Starting Friday, July 7th

Kidzu is proud to have earned a 2023 NC GlaxoSmithKline Ribbon of Hope award, which will make STEAM and Kidzu’s makerspace, The Makery, accessible to all! Join us all summer long for a host of STEAM’D Up programs inside the museum, outside in our Learning Garden, at the Chapel Hill Farmers’ Market, and even in The Nest, our newest learning environment for infants, toddlers and caregivers!

Family First Fridays

First Fridays monthly | 10 AM - 5 PM | FREE for the public!

Family First Fridays are monthly programs that will feature FREE all-day museum admission with a range of STEMonstrations facilitated by real world scientists, artists, and makers! STEMonstrations will take place at 2 PM and 3 PM.
