About Lunch & Learns

The Lehigh Valley Arts & Cultural Alliance hosts a free monthly Lunch & Learn series featuring nationally recognized guest presenters. The series focuses on art and accessibility — a pillar of our organizational mission — and aims to inform our Lehigh Valley artists, art educators, and arts & cultural venues about ways to make the arts more accessible to all. Previous Lunch & Learn topics include the social model of disability, audio description, and accessible technologies. We are currently developing a professional accreditation program for staff and volunteers of arts and culture organizations interested in creating accessible spaces and better serving disabled artists and patrons.

The Development & Marketing Manager promotes and supports the work of the Lehigh Valley Arts & Cultural Alliance including managing the overall brand, creating and executing a marketing plan for the organization and managing the membership program on behalf of the donors, organizations, and supporters of the LVACA.

The Development & Marketing Manager will report directly to the LVACA Managing Director and will work closely with the LVACA Advancement and Marketing sub-committees and Board of Directors on the planning and facilitation of programs and initiatives. Much of the focus is on building and cultivating relationships with stakeholders in the arts and culture community and providing support and resources to all LVACA programs.

Arts & Economic Prosperity

December Study Update

The Lehigh Valley Arts & Cultural Alliance has partnered with Americans for the Arts on Arts & Economic Prosperity 6, a nation-wide economic impact study of the nonprofit arts and cultural sector. The AEP6 audience survey invites event attendees to join the conversation on the importance of arts and culture. Study results will help us understand how Lehigh Valley arts and cultural programs impact neighborhood pride and boost local economies through job creation, tourism, and support for small business.

Our Progress So Far

We’re excited to report that we’ve collected over 500 audience survey responses and have surpassed 60% of our goal! We’re grateful for the collaboration of our site partners and volunteers who aided in survey collection efforts at the following events and venues throughout the Lehigh Valley:

Inclusion Festival
Blues, Brews, & Barbecue
NCC Summer Theatre
Musikfest
Roasting Ears of Corn Festival
Lehigh Valley Pride
Dominican Festival
Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
Art in the Park
India Heritage Day
Zoellner Arts Center
Touchstone Theatre
Bethlehem Area Public Library
Vespers by St. Tikhon Choir

LVACA will continue to work with community partners to conduct audience participation surveys at venues and events through April of 2023, including upcoming events at the Civic Theatre, the Allentown Symphony, Pennsylvania Youth Theatre, and the Allentown Art Museum. Our goal is to collect at least 800 audience surveys in the Lehigh Valley. Beginning in February, we’ll collaborate further with local arts and culture organizations to make sure our regional data is as robust as possible.

How To Get Involved
We’re eager to partner with more arts and cultural organizations to collect audience surveys at upcoming events. If you are a decision maker with an arts and culture nonprofit venue or organization based in the Lehigh Valley, please reach out to LVACA Research Coordinator Meg Mikovits at [email protected] to learn more about how your organization can be represented in the AEP6 regional data.

If you are an individual who supports and values the art and culture offerings of the Lehigh Valley, please consider joining our volunteer team to help out at future events. Fill out our short volunteer interest form, and feel free to share the form with others who may be interested.
