Connecticut’s Winter Wonderland Experience

Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resort is proud to announce the 2023 Lifted Spirits - Winter Festival. The mountain will come alive with winter magic and guaranteed snow tubing in December Starting Black Friday and continuing every weekend in December, families can go snow tubing, meet Santa, shop the artisan market, enjoy live entertainment, and join in on the diy workshops for all ages. There will be plenty of delicious delicacies offered at the Bavarian village, sponsored by Two Roads Brewery and the 36’ Igloo Ice bar for Tito's specialty cocktails and appetizers.

Cookie decorating workshop - Join the Tasty Sprinkle for a next-level cookie decorating workshop.
Everyone will receive six cookies to decorate with instructions and a gift bag with items to take home
The class starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m.
The Cookie Decorating Workshop is $40 per person. An additional Winter Fest admission is required.

Calling all Princesses, we cordially invite you to tea at Powder Ridge Winter Wonderland Experience.
We will be crafting princess wands and then enjoying tea and (other beverages), desserts and finger sandwiches with the very famous Princess.
Admission for the tea is $10. An additional Winter Fest admission is required.
Enjoy the Winter Fest before or after. Entrance includes - Visit with Santa in his workshop, Snow play zone, touch a truck, Shop the craft market and food trucks.

1:00 p.m - 3:00 p.m: Holiday Charcuterie Board Workshop
The Tasty Empanada presents our Holiday Charcuterie Board Workshop
Just in time for the Holiday parties, learn essential tips for planning a board your whole party will love.
Learn about the best ingredients, design, making beautiful roses with salami and adding a special touch with mini empanada, dates and goat cheese.
$40 per person. The purchase of Winterfest admission is also required.

A duo with decades of experience, unafraid to play all those awesome songs you Never hear other bands play!

Dr Neil and Mike are an acoustic duo that combines acoustic guitars and electronic percussion for that “close to a full band” feel and sound Without the volume of one.

We are an accommodating, fun and professional act rolled into one with an extremely deep and diverse song list, including bands like The Eagles, Mumford & Sons, Tom Petty, James Taylor, Billy Joel, Bon Jovi, all the way around the spectrum to Bob Marley, Frank Sinatra, Prince and even Metallica ! (to name just a few). We’re a great fit for all events, including restaurants, private events, clubs and parties. We look forward to hearing from you - Dr. Neil (yes, he’s a dentist) and Mike (not a dentist).

4:00 p.m - 5:30 p.m: Holiday Decoupage Workshop
Wait until you see what we do with beautiful napkins and decoupaging; you may not want to give them away.
Class includes a Glass cutting board (which is beautiful to display when not in use), 100’s of holiday and non- holiday napkin designs to choose from and instructions.
Hosted by Eventful Design Studio.
The workshop fee is $28, and admission into Winterfest is also required.

7:00 p.m - 8:30 p.m: Bobby Sings the King - Christmas with Elvis
Bobby Sings the King is an authentic recreation of Elvis’s return to the stage in 1970. This is no ordinary Elvis tribute show. Bobby and the Suspicious Mindz recreate the energy, magic and performance only witnessed by fans attending the dinner shows at The International Hotel in Las Vegas. They’ll be performing classics and a mix of Christmas favorites. Bobby will energize you with his voice, and energy while the Suspicious Mindz turns it up and presents a rocking, true-to-form backdrop for this fantastic night of music and entertainment.

6:00 p.m - 9:00 p.m: Live Music – Sick Since Sunday
The three members of Sick Since Sunday have been playing music for over 35 years and have combined forces to do something a little different than other live bands in the Hartford area. The band was formed in 2013 and has been going strong ever since. In 2014 the band played over 60 shows around the New England area, including Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. SSS provides a complete concert experience with quality sound and lighting. Most of the song selection comes directly from the playlists of Connecticut’s Radio 104 FM. You’ll see many stage props to keep the audience engaged and entertained.

2:00 p.m - 4:00 p.m: Candle Making Workshop
Join us for an immersive candle-making class instructed by Soothing Ways, where you’ll learn the art of creating beautiful, fragrant candles from start to finish. In this engaging two-hour session.

In the first part of the class, we’ll guide you through the step-by-step process of creating your first 4 oz candle. You’ll learn about the various components, including selecting the ideal fragrance, color, and mastering the art of pouring the wax.

After the initial demonstration, it’s time to unleash your creativity. You’ll be free to personalize your second 4 oz candle by choosing your preferred fragrance, color, and design. Let your imagination run wild as you experiment and create a unique candle that reflects your personal style.

This workshop is designed for everyone, including kids, as long as they are accompanied by an adult seeking a relaxing and enjoyable activity in their leisure time. Candle-making is a delightful experience for all ages.

The workshop is $35 per person. An additional Winterfest admission is required.
