It's October and the library has lots of treats in store for you this month!

In addition to our monthly book clubs, book chat and spice club, the library is hosting a number of special programs. We are happy to be brining back our One Book One Community Program in partnership with neighboring towns.  Be sure to a pick up a copy of the book Voyage of Mercy by Stephen Puleo and check out all of the great programs centered around this title.  The library is happy to be partnering with the Mansfield Historical Society to introduce a monthly program centering on the history of Mansfield.  The first event is Medicine and Doctors in Mansfield, 1760-1948. We are also hosting a program on college admissions, painting with Gregory Maichack, several virtual author events, and, just in time for Halloween, a night of New England ghost stories with the creators of the Ain't It Scary podcast.  Scroll below for more details!

Children are invited to wear their costumes for our Halloween Spooktacular.  Along with a  special performance of Tricks and Treats by comic mime Robert Rivest there will be a photo op, craft, scavenger hunt and more! The Youth Room is also introducing a new sensory playtime for ages 2 - 5 along with our regular story times, evening story time, playground fun, baby playtimes, LEGOs,  puppets, and special art and music programs.  See below for more information.

Wishing you a safe and spooktacular October!
