September Closings:

The library will be Closed on September 4 for Labor Day.

We will be Closing AT 1 PM on September 8 for the Township Employee Picnic.

ESOL Fall Class Registration

September 14, 21 and 28

10 am to noon

at Hilton Branch Library

The registration fee is $25, credit/debit card, or money order.

Registrants must show two forms of ID and must have a Gmail account.

Classes will be held online Tuesdays and Thursdays, October 3 to December 21, 2023, from 9 am to noon.

New Book Club For Soma Teens In Grades 6-12

The Great Stories Club is intended especially for underserved youth. This book club features science fiction books that explore questions of equity, identity, and alternate futures. Participants can look forward to snacks, crafts, author talks, skits, poetry slams, prizes, and more.

Tweens & Teens Chess Group

Wednesdays at 6pm at Hilton Branch

Sept. 13 & 27 / Oct. 11 & 25 / Nov. 8 & 29

Registration is encouraged.

Whether you're a complete beginner or trying to hone your skills, this chess group is for you! Use one of our chess sets or bring your own.

Assisted by tutors from The Next Semester

Children's Programs

- All Children's programs are held at Hilton Branch
- Unless otherwise noted, programs are drop-in
- All children must be accompanied by an adult
- Programs designed for families & not camps or preschool groups

Lapsit Storytimes

Sept 14 & 21 @ 10:30 am

For ages birth to 18 months with a participating adult We welcome caregivers/parents to experience a lively storytime with songs and rhymes that foster a love of reading.

Toddler Storytimes

September 11 & 18 @ 10:30 am

For ages 1-3 years with a participating adult. Early literacy fun with stories, movement and rhymes. Dress for the weather; if it’s raining we’ll meet indoors.

Read To A Dog

Monday, Sept 18 @ 6:30-7:30pm 

For school age children & tweens

A relaxed & friendly group environment for school-age kids and tweens to read out loud to a certified therapy dog (or certified guinea pig), with other kids. Depending on the number of attendees, you may have to wait your turn to read aloud. 

Lego Club

Friday, Sept 29 @ 3:30pm

For ages 5 years & up – with a participating adult

Join us for an hour of imagination and LEGO building. LEGO creations will be displayed in the library.
