ELLA MYLOD

Ella Kelsey Mylod is excited to bring her creativity, love for connecting with others, and thirst for knowledge to Martha’s Vineyard Film Society this summer. After studying at the University of Notre Dame her freshman year, she decided to take her studies to the East Coast and study Visual Media Arts Production at Emerson College, where she is currently a rising junior! In her free time, she likes to write (anything from journal entries to scripts), spend time with friends and family, cook, and read (she just finished Bel Canto by Ann Patchett and recommends it!). Passionate about storytelling and filmmaking, Ella is eager to learn and engage with the community!

ISABEL DEVITA

My name is Isabel DeVita and I am a rising junior at the University of Pennsylvania. I am studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics with a minor in Cinema and Media Studies. In my free time, I love to watch movies (especially in theaters) and go vintage shopping! I have been coming to the Vineyard every summer since I was born and am super excited to work at the Film Society!

BIANCA VENTOLA

Bianca Ventola is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California. During her four years at USC, Bianca studied and interned abroad in Spain, Mexico, and France at the Cannes Film Festival. This summer, Bianca is excited to be back in her home state interning for the Martha's Vineyard Film Society. On the Vineyard, Bianca's favorite activity is watching the sunset at Aquinnah Cliffs. She is passionate about international film production in Spanish speaking countries and international film festivals.

Each year for the past nine, the MV Film Society has awarded graduating seniors at the MV Regional High School with its Esta and Robert Epstein Scholarships to help with their university studies in film, media arts, or the performing arts. We thank the Epsteins for their long-time support of island education.

The MV Film Society is thrilled to be named The Best of the Vineyard's BEST MOVIE THEATER, FESTIVAL, OR SERIES for 2023. Get this, for the 11th consecutive year (going strong since 2013)!

Every year, the Martha's Vineyard Magazine has asked its readers to vote on what organizations are the best; ranging from restaurants, to entertainment, summer only events and everything in between! With almost 3,300 voters and more that 96,000 votes cast across the categories, we are grateful for your vote that placed us first BEST MOVIE THEATER, FESTIVAL, OR SERIES and also Runner-Up for Best Arts & Culture Organization!

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing you at Film Center soon.

The Martha's Vineyard Film Society, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit cultural arts organization celebrating 20+ years of service. Although our main activity consists of the operation of the award-winning Martha's Vineyard Film Center, our programming offers much more than films. We produce special community events in collaboration with numerous Island non-profits, host live performances, stream MET Opera live from NYC, and offer Youth Programming year-round, including our Summer Camp with MVTV and Featherstone Center for the Arts. We hope you, our patrons and members, found this newsletter a glimpse into our continued efforts to fulfill our mission and enliven our Island’s cultural arts scene.
