It's the first Pop-up Pub of the year!

Join your friends and neighbors for a cozy gathering inside the Hodge Memorial Library (4 North St.) featuring beer from Black Hog Brewing, cocktails from Mine Hill Distillery, wine, and other beverages.

Proceeds benefit the Hodge Library.

Light refreshments will be available, but feel free to bring your own as well.

The Friends of the Library's Next Chapter Book Store will be open for browsing.

Art History Happy Hour, live from Florence, Italy!

Join Renaissance art historian Elaine Ruffolo for a virtual presentation on the life and times of Donatello by looking at the artistic world of Florence around 1400, considering how new ideas shaped the way artists worked and why the city itself encouraged patronage and artistic expression. Follow Donatello’s career from his apprenticeship to becoming the premier sculptor of the Florentine Republic and consider how developments in his art mirror new and exciting changes in painting and architecture during the period.

Take Your Child to the Library Day

Saturday, February 4th
11am-1pm

Join us for the 12th annual Take Your Child to the Library Day (TYCLD) — an international initiative that encourages families everywhere to take their children to their local library.

Drop in anytime from 11:00—1:00 for Pete The Cat’s Groovy Saturday.

We will have Pete-themed crafts, games, and scavenger hunt or just hang-out and read!

No registration needed. This is a drop-in  program with self-directed activities.

Stories, songs, crafts and bubbles for the 5 and under crowd!

Maker Lab

Let’s get creative! Children will work on hands-on activities, group activities & crafts.

A library staff member will walk your child to the library from Booth School. In the event that school is cancelled, the program will be as well. Questions & to sign up: email [email protected]

To allow us time to prepare, registration must be received by the Friday preceding the program.

Comic Art Club

Monday, February 27th
3:15 -  4pm

Let’s get drawing! Using prompts and activates, kiddos will develop their drawing skills and stretch their artistic comfort zone. A snack will be provided. Please alert us of any food allergies.
