September at Mosesian Arts!

September brings the beginning of a new season full of exciting performances, exhibitions, and arts education! From comedy, variety, and music to a new exhibition and an arts education open house, read about all you can see, learn, and experience this month at Mosesian Arts!

OPEN MIC COMEDY - SEPTEMBER 8

Are you a stand-up type of person? Join us this Thursday, September 8, for Mosesian Arts’ first Open Mic Comedy night!

New comics and experienced pros will deliver short sets in a comedy club setting in our lobby — and admission is free! The bar and concessions will be open 30 minutes before showtime and throughout the show.

ARTS EDUCATION OPEN HOUSE - SEPTEMBER 10

This Saturday, September 10, come to Mosesian Arts to learn about our fall class offerings, teaching artists, and upcoming education department events! Our largest educational offering in over two years includes thirty performing and visual arts classes for children, teens, and adults! Visual arts classes include painting, sculpture, woodcut, and comics and STEAM programs for young artists. Classes in the performing arts include acting, voice, improv, and American Sign Language (ASL).

Join us September 10 any time from 11:00 AM through 1:00 PM. This is event is free and open to all ages.

ERAN ZARACOVITZ - SEPTEMBER 11

For the first time in the USA, Eran Zaracovitz, one of Israel's favorite comedians (Eretz Nehederet, HaParlament, Teicher veZarahovitsh), presents his new, funny, and witty standup show. The tour stops at Mosesian Arts on September 11!

MEMBERS MEETING & EXHIBITION - SEPTEMBER 15

Don’t miss out on our Annual Members Meeting and Members Exhibition Reception on Thursday, September 15, from 5:30-7:30 PM! This event is free and open to all, and the evening will begin with a reception and cash bar. At 6:00 PM, a brief membership meeting and vote for members of the Board of Directors will be held, followed by a 2022-23 season preview.

THE BRIAR & RUSTY SHOW - SEPTEMBER 17

Boston's hottest drag couple, Briar Blush and Rusty Hammer, debut their retro-inspired drag and variety show at Mosesian Arts on Saturday, September 17!

Combining drag, comedy, live music, burlesque and more, Briar and Rusty are putting together a cheeky homage to yesteryear that would make Sonny and Cher proud, with some help from some of Boston's most noteworthy drag and cabaret talent.

Tickets are already on sale for Ivy League of Comedy shows on October 7 and December 16. On November 17, CAM Productions and Silent Spring Institute will screen Unacceptable Risk with a panel discussion on environmental causes of cancer. Watertown Children’s Theatre productions this fall include Something Rotten! and Nick Tickle, Fairy Tale Detective. 

And, still to be announced: a jazz series, the Boston International Kids Film Festival, Multiverse Concert Series with Reef Music, Hanukkah through the Senses, and the return of a nationally-recognized voiceover actor in a one-of-a-kind production of A Christmas Carol!
