AAUW exhibition now open!

The Johnstown branch of the American Association of University Women is celebrating its centennial in 2023, and the exhibition  “AAUW: Empowering Women for a Century” exhibit will be displayed in the second floor galleries of the Heritage Discovery Center through June 5.

Admission is free to JAHA members or with admission. Welcome!

JAHA seeks staff members

JAHA has immediate openings for three part-time positions -- some weekends and evenings required. Interested? Email Deb Winterscheidt at [email protected].

Admissions/store clerk – Greet museum visitors, orient them to galleries, operate a POS system to sell admission tickets and shop merchandise, and turn on/off exhibits at Johnstown Flood Museum and Heritage Discovery Center. Hospitality skills and interest in local history are important. $8.75/hour.

Children’s Museum Docent – Interact with visitors and children, turn on/off exhibits, facilitate visitor experience, assist in presenting crafts, activities, events, and birthday parties. Teaching experience preferred.  Clearances required. $8.75/hour.

Janitorial/ maintenance staff member: For the Johnstown Flood Museum location. 25-30 hours/week, starting at $10/hour.
