Sacred Secular Spaces by Rani Sarin,
Rani Sarin's work is her connection to the dynamic flow of energy and life. It bridges her understanding of the space between the seen world and the felt world.
Her art explores the underlying harmony in a seemingly disparate world; rooted in India but thriving and growing in the foreign but familiar world beyond.
Of late, she has been working with mixed media-using her prints, paper and fabric. She is in thrall to nature. Playing on the title, Sacred Secular Spaces, the works reflect spaces (physical and on paper) that we inhabit and those that bring us peace, joy, comfort, harmony and enjoyment that become our sacred spaces.

Close to Home – Paintings of Familiar Places by Martha C. Doolin
Martha Doolin’s paintings are done primarily in oil "en plein air”, captured quickly outdoors and often completed in her studio. She works directly from life with an eye toward observing and expressing the evanescent effects of light and atmosphere. Although she styles her work after the Boston School painters and their deep foundation in impressionism, she frequently refers back to the Dutch Masters and particularly appreciates their way of presenting a story within a painting.
Martha is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in Illustration. She has received prizes from the Guild of Boston Artists, the Weston Arts and Crafts Association and the Newton Art Association. She is a juried member of the Rockport Art Association.
