Your Library Card Unlocks Access to Dozens of Museums

Calling all sports fans - we know playoff season is right around the corner so we're introducing a new Museum & Recreation Pass to our lineup: a seasonal pass to The Sports Museum! Located inside TD Garden, The Sports Museum has been serving Boston and New England for the past 40 years and offers tours to both an impressive collection of Boston sports memorabilia as well as summer tours of TD Garden Arena.

Mark your calendar - on April 3rd, the museum curator will deliver a talk entitled "Boston as a Sports Capital and Mecca of Sports" in Druker Auditorium.

Also museum related, we're excited to welcome the Museum of Russian Icons to present Faith and Folktales: Russian Storytelling through Image on Zoom on Tuesday, March 7th at 7pm.  Register here.

This talk ties into the beautiful museum artifacts in our Main Hall display cases this month. Visit the museum for free by reserving the pass with your Library card. The pass admits up to 6 people for free for general admission.

Welcome Gina, our new Supervisor of Borrower Services!

Gina Wise joins us after gaining 12 years of experience at the Public Library of Brookline where she began as a volunteer before being hired as a Library Assistant, a Reference Librarian and then Circulation Supervisor. While holding that role for the past 5 years, she discovered that the essential tasks of this department bring her the most joy. With Gina at the helm, you can count on our wonderful Borrower Services team for a warm welcome at the main desk, and for help to checking in and out your library selections.

Feel free to ask Gina about growing up in Germany, the sports celebrity she helped while working at Blockbuster, the punk band she's seen in concert seven times, and general Mom shenanigans (she's a busy mother of two lovable toddlers). Here are a few of Gina's favorite reads for kids:
