Join economist Stephen Roach as he presents his latest book Accidental Conflict: America, China and the Clash of False Narratives. Stephen Samuel Roach is an American economist and serves as senior fellow at Yale University’s Jackson Institute for Global Affairs and a senior lecturer at Yale School of Management. He was formerly chairman of Morgan Stanley Asia and chief economist at Morgan Stanley, the New York-based investment bank. Register here

3D Printing - Waitlist

Learn how to change filament, find objects to print, set up your print job and troubleshoot the Lulzbot Mini 3D Printer. Find a small object to print; after class reserve time to print your own projects and get your prints next time you are at the library. Celebrate Pi Day with us in the MakerLab! Our pi (and pie) themed projects will celebrate this mathematical concept with creativity and fun. The day’s featured projects are sewing a Slice of Pi felt plushie and making your own mini pie from salt dough with the option of exploring the math behind these projects with geometric formulas. No registration needed. Confidence Club is an 8-week facilitated discussion group that creates a brave space for girls, who meet with a professional mentor to share concerns & interests. We are super excited to be kicking off two brand new D&D campaigns here at the Library. These campaigns will be open to anyone between the ages of 12 and 18. But, before we can play the game, we have to build our characters. Come to this introductory workshop and learn how to make a character and what all those numbers and dice are for. We'll provide the blank character sheets and reference books as well as snacks and drinks. At the end of the workshop, you'll be able to sign up for one of the campaigns. Register here
