The Santa Rosa County Office of Economic Development will be hosting a groundbreaking event to commemorate the kickoff of the infrastructure construction on the Northwest Florida Industrial Park @ I-10. The groundbreaking is open to the public. The event will be held Tue., Sep. 27 at 10 a.m. at Highway 87 south of I-10 and Technology Avenue, in Milton.

The industrial park will benefit multiple companies, which will result in over 100 new jobs being created. Companies set to benefit from the construction of the park include those such as Damian’s Ice Cream and Hershey’s Ice Cream. Other companies are considering locations on the site (Project Planes, Trains, and Automobiles and Project Mercy Rule).

The park, made possible by a $3.5 million Triumph Grant, was designed by Baskerville-Donovan, a Pensacola-based firm that specializes in planning, surveying, engineering and design, and construction.
