What is Camp Foxfire?
Join us this summer for a nature adventure at Northwest Park! Camp Foxfire day camp engages children in active, field-based exploration where they can develop a deeper appreciation of nature while learning new skills and having fun outdoors.

Nature Exploration
Our campers enjoy exploring our 473-acre park through discovery-based activities such as: hiking the trails, live animal interactions, rolling logs to search for salamanders, dipping a net in the pond to learn more about aquatic critters, playing nature-themed games and creating artistic masterpieces from natural materials.

Enhancing Experiences
As campers get older, they will experience even greater adventures. Offsite daytrips, canoeing Rainbow Reservoir, extended nighttime sessions, and overnight camping opportunities enhance the weekly theme and deepen their connection to, understanding of and respect for nature.

Passionate Staff
Camp Foxfire’s creative and energetic team of educators is made up of teachers, college students, parents, and professionals, and many of them return summer after summer. Our specialized staff work together to provide an extraordinary experience in outdoor learning, by nurturing each child’s curiosity and wonder for nature while building respect for self, others, and the environment.

Our highest priority is to provide the best service to our community in the safest manner possible. We successfully ran our programs through the unprecedented summers of 2020 and 2021 and continue to stay informed and enact best practice health protocols.
