New Art In Public Places Exhibits

Art in Public Places at the Veterans Memorial St. Cloud Library "From the Caribbean Sea to the Florida Shores" is the first collection telling Renée Elizabeth's story.

Born on the beautiful island of Jamaica, some of Renée Elizabeth's fondest memories are spending Sundays at the beach in Portland with her mother. Her love for her strong Caribbean heritage and its natural beauty are often reflected in her artwork. In 2017, Renée was the victim of a near-fatal car accident in which she sustained severe nerve damage to her right hand. Through this tragedy, she has found painting a beneficial form of physical therapy. ‘From Caribbean Sea to Florida Shores’ is the first collection telling Renée Elizabeth's story. Art in Public Places at the Veterans Memorial St. Cloud Library "From the Art in Public Places presents @canvaspraise Canvas Praise Art at The Hart Memorial Library in Kissimmee from September 1 through October 1.

For local artist Carlos Colon, becoming an artist and a musician was his life path. After 28 years of building a beautiful family, a bachelor’s degree in business, and a productive career in retail management the unexpected happened. A rare form of cancer almost ended his life, but the love and support of his family and his faith gave him a second chance. Art and music have become his way to express gratitude and motivate others. Canvas Praise Art is the channel through which we can admire Colon’s creative expressions.
