Campfire Cooking with Scott

Take your taste buds on an adventure! Join Chef Scott Owens as he demonstrates how to elevate camp-food favorites!

Hike the boardwalk along Shingle Creek South Sector to see examples of pioneer houses and plants native to Florida. Presented by the Pine Lily Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society.

Come for the Sounds of Summer with campsite-worthy tunes by Jane Rosenbohm, Guitar Extraordinaire.

Stay for S'mores and Lore! Grab your flashlight and share your favorite summer read around the campfire while indulging on the number one campsite treat, S'mores!

Practice your reading skills in a new way: try reading to a dog! Kids can snuggle up with a trained therapy dog for 10 minutes and read a short story to build their confidence and have fun! Bring your own book or choose one from the Library.

Kids will win a prize with every third visit to Angel Paws 2 Read! On the third and sixth visit, kids can pick a book from the book cart. On the ninth visit, they will receive an Angel Paws 2 Read T-shirt and Certificate of Achievement.

Jump Start Your Future with Career Online High School

The Library is celebrating a new Career Online High School (COHS) graduate who completed 27 credits in 7 months to earn her diploma! We have four more students who are nearing the finish line and we hope to share their stories and celebrate this achievement with everyone very soon. The Library still has COHS scholarships available so now is the time advance your education!

If you want to finish your high school education or if you're looking for a new job, COHS could be what gets you there! COHS offers adults the opportunity to earn an accredited high school diploma and a career certificate online.

If you need stable internet access or a laptop for the program, Chromebooks and Hotspots are available to checkout with your Library card.
