Out-of-Stater Navigator: Sheehy’s Lies Pile Up in Montana

Government and Politics

April 26, 2024

If it’s a day that ends in “y,” Tim Sheehy's dishonesty is catching up with him and Montanans are learning the truth about his background and beliefs.

This week, a new video from the Montana Democratic Party raised alarm bells about the many questions and inconsistencies surrounding Sheehy’s gunshot wound in Glacier Park – and his refusal to release his medical records and set the record straight. Montana Conservation Voters brought attention to Sheehy’s deeply unpopular call to transfer public lands and his attempts to lie about his record. And the Daily Montanan highlighted the numerous conflicts of interest surrounding Sheehy’s business and his attempts to cover up his past positions on climate change.

DIGITAL VIDEO: QUESTIONS SWIRL AROUND TIM SHEEHY’S GUNSHOT WOUND

The Montana Democratic Party released a new digital video hitting Sheehy for his pattern of lying to Montanans, including major inconsistencies about how he received a gunshot wound. As his story twists and turns, Montanans are left questioning his track record of dishonesty.

Sheehy still refuses to do the only thing that would clear up his story – release his medical records.

DAILY MONTANAN: QUESTIONS & CONFLICTS OF INTEREST SURROUND SHEEHY’S BUSINESS AS HE HIDES PAST CLIMATE POSITIONS

New reporting from the Daily Montanan sheds light on the questions and conflicts of interest surrounding Sheehy’s government contract-dependent business. Sheehy, who is running for a position that oversees money his company relies on, has refused to divest from Bridger were he to be elected.

In addition, documents show that when it was financially beneficial to him “Sheehy used to laud [the] fight against climate change, now [he] talks about [a] ‘climate cult.’” It’s clear Sheehy will do or say anything to serve his interests.

MONTANA CONSERVATION VOTERS HOLD PRESS CONFERENCE ON TIM SHEEHY’S ATTACKS ON PUBLIC LANDS

During National Park Week, Montanans came together to call out U.S. Senate candidate Sheehy’s attacks on public lands and his lies to cover up his position.

Lifetime hunter conservationist Rod Bullis, Montana Outdoor Hall of Fame inductee Chris Marchion, and Rep. Jill Cohenour spoke out about the threat Sheehy poses to Montana’s public lands. Sheehy has called to transfer public lands, which would make it easier for Montana’s public lands to be sold to the highest bidder. Now, he’s lying about his record in an attempt to hide his disastrous idea.

ANTI-IVF, ANTI-CHOICE GROUP SHIPS 50 STAFFERS INTO MONTANA TO CAMPAIGN FOR TIM SHEEHY; SUPPORTS AZ ABORTION BAN

Sheehy’s radical endorser, SBA, plans to send more than 50 canvassers to Montana to support Sheehy and push their anti-choice agenda that would further restrict reproductive freedoms of Montana women.

SBA is an extreme anti-choice group that denounced the repeal of Arizona’s 1864 abortion ban, and advocated for the adoption of a new abortion ban in its place.

SBA only endorses candidates, like Sheehy, who support a national abortion ban.
