After 15 years, Sandy City’s Horse Parade is back. Everyone is invited so bring your family and friends to the Historic Sandy District to enjoy this event. The parade starts at 10 a.m. so plan to arrive early and see the map below for the parade route.

This is a free event we hold at Main Street Park and all are welcome.

We have live music, a car show, food trucks, businesses set up booths and we have inflatable rides for the kids.

What You Need To Know!

3 Ways to Get to the Parade & Festival 

Street Parking: No parking is available at the park and roads are closed near the parade route and festival so please park elsewhere. Do not park in or around the horse parade staging area and please DO NOT block driveways!

Park & Shuttle: There will be a park & ride shuttle system available from 9 a.m. to noon from Parks & Recreation Bldg, Bicentenni­al Park, and Sandy Elementary (440 E 8680 S, Sandy, UT 84070 area)

Take UTA Trax: Get off at Historic Sandy Station (90th South)

Come prepared to walk a few blocks to the parade route and festivities!

Horse Parade

Horse Etiquette: Since this is a horse parade, please do not bring pets (dogs). Also, we understand that kids naturally get excited around horses but, for safety, please keep your distance from them.

Safety: Please position yourself off the roadways and keep children out of the street at all times. Do not sit anywhere where the horse parade lines up (see map).

Candy: No candy will be thrown.

After the horse parade, stay for all of the heritage festivities. Join us after at Main Street Park and enjoy food, fun activities, entertainment, and learn more about Sandy’s history. The Heritage Fest includes a history walking tour, local artists, food vendors, live music and more!
