ALDI opens first Pace/Pea Ridge store

Santa Rosa County Commissioners joined ALDI today, Thurs., Sept. 15, for the grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony of their first Pace/Pea Ridge store. The opening marks the second location for Santa Rosa County with ALDI Navarre opening earlier this year in March.

"The opening of ALDI in the Pace/Pea Ridge area has been much anticipated," said Commissioner Sam Parker, District 1. "ALDI is well-known by many of our residents and we've seen the excitement and success the Navarre location has created. The business and family-friendly climate that Santa Rosa County offers is what will continue to spur economic growth and bring new businesses that will benefit our community."

The new location at 4770 US-90 W is part of the company's aggressive nationwide growth in recent years including the opening of 150 new stores this year, approximately 20 of which will be in Alabama, Mississippi, the Florida Panhandle and Louisiana.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier, and we’ve been voted the price leader for five years running,” said Heather Moore, Division Vice President for ALDI. “We offer easy access to affordable fresh food and household essentials, as well as a great selection of regional items. Our new Gulf Coast locations will carry local favorites such as Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning, Crystal’s Hot Sauce, Blue Plate Mayonnaise, Blue Bell Ice Cream and Luzianne Sweet Tea.”

The ALDI business model is intentionally different, and the result is a fast and affordable shopping experience. Pace/Pea Ridge shoppers can experience the ALDI difference themselves starting today. The store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
