Sidewalk Alum and Birmingham Natives Win Big at the Oscars

Unless you've been living under a rock - even a rock with googly eyes - you've probably already heard the amazing news: Everything Everywhere All At Once won a whopping seven Academy Awards out of its eleven nominations last night! Among these awards were Best Picture, Best Actress (Michelle Yeoh), Best Supporting Actor (Ke Huy Quan), Best Supporting Actress (Jamie Lee Curtis), Best Film Editing (Birmingham’s own Paul Rogers), Best Original Screenplay and Best Director (both awarded to directing duo Daniels, Daniel Kwan and Birmingham-native/Sidewalk alum Daniel Scheinert).

We've been proud to have played Everything Everywhere All At Once a few times at the Cinema over the year (with more showings to come!) but we’re also honored to have screened several other Oscar nominees and winners throughout 2022 and 2023:
